Keeping It Clean

This is a little different from my previous posts.  I just got a new little guy from the pound…cutie patootie.  We named him Rex.  He’s a yorkie…purebred WITH papers.  However, he must have been through some sort of ordeals in his life.  He does NOT like kids and noise…yet.  And he pees everywhere.  Like seriously.  I don’t know what the deal is.  I’ve trained several dogs and never struggled as much as this time.  But I just know it’s going to take some time and patience.  I’ve got to break him of his previous habits and fears.  Pour on the love, love, love.  I know if anyone is loved enough, eventually it will become a relationship of trust.  In the mean time, I’m trying really hard to keep my carpets from becoming so incredibly soaked with smelly pee.  So I’ve got chucks by the door and  I take him outside regularly.  My brother and his wife have a cute little Boston Terrier.  They both work full-time, very demanding days though.  So when they leave their little guy at home, they need a place for him to go.  They’ve trained him to go in their shower.  Yep, you heard me right…their shower. And you know what? It’s actually pretty smart.  It’s a super easy place to clean out and sanitize every time they get home.  So I’ve thought about it, but I don’t have a walk-in shower, and the tub sounds hard for a little yorkie.  So we’re still working on the good old outdoors….and once we finally get that.  I think I’ll need to get my carpets cleaned.  (Good thing one of my friends owns a cleaning company…shout out to
